The night was a little crisp, but I have to confess I  have the window completely open so I can lay there looking at stars when I am unable to sleep.

When we woke it was sunny with a slight wind, it was the usual coffee in bed then we took our fishing gear to the beach trying the incoming tide.

After a couple of hours I had only caught a flounder and we were getting hungry for breakfast it was time to head back, the wind had also picked up a lot and had quite a chill to it.

The truck has been running a bit rough for the last couple of days we are thinking maybe dirty fuel, Merv started it after breakfast gave it a run it was missing and would not get out of limp mode, Merv checked on Google to see if there was anything he could check. He checked all wiring and solenoid, no matter what he did it made no difference.

We new we couldn't drive it out on limp mode so we had to work out options.

Merv rang several places in Exmouth they couldn't look at it for two weeks, I told Merv that he could take it to Exmouth and I would stay with the camp, he said no he didn't like the idea in case I needed water as we didn't know how long repairs would take. He said if he went he would hire a vehicle and come back, then we realized he may not get one this time of year.

While talking, thinking of costs we guessed it would cost about the same to get a tow company that could take truck, camper and boat to Karratha as it would to hire a 4wd for three weeks and in Karratha there is much more chance of having someone who can fix it.

Merv rang and got a truck repair specialist who gave him a booking for Friday.

When that was done we went for a eight km walk along a beach to try to distress.

When Merv rang a caravan park in Karratha and managed to get an unpowered site, we booked for three weeks as we have no idea what the trouble might be and how long it will take.

That night we packed up everything outside to get ready to leave the next morning, the plan was if the truck started just load up and head straight for Karratha if not get the towie.

Neither felt like eating dinner.
