2nd November 2021 Hopetoun

Merv's birthday today he is 68 but looks about 58 compared  to a lot of people we have met.
We are packing up today as the free stay is only 48 hours, we go into town to the store/cafe and stock up on food we need then to the post office to get cash out for paying in the parks.
The post office is very interesting it is a general store that has everything from fishing gear, saucepans, sheets and everything in between.
We left Hopetoun heading along the coast not sure exactly where we were going to stay.
The road was good seal for a reasonable time then went to very rough dirt road, made worse by recent rains, potholes that were hard to see.
We went into Masons Bay for a quick look, we had been here with Liza approximately 15 years earlier, the changes were fantastic, all camp bays were fenced off level gravel and marked with numbers, there have been 4 new toilets put in, eco toilets but very clean, a dump point with water and dumpster bins for rubbish.
I couldn't remember much about the bay when we stayed before only the campsite, Merv was similar so when we saw the bay again and the area we decided to stay.
We found a site that overlooked the water and set up and of course a beautiful day we walked on the beach.
It was a very peaceful night one kangaroo through the fence but not quite as humanized
