When we left the next day we had planned on driving up through the channel and stay in Snug. We stopped ar Huonville for lunch on the river bank. The drive through to Snug was very pretty, we stayed in the Snug caravan park which was quite a nice one, the only down side was the fishy smell coming from the processing plant, Merv went for a swim I thought it was just too smelly. There was several nice walks we did before leaving After returning to the Neck we spent time with Paul getting wood and metal detecting, stayed with Anne for a couple of days on 2 seperate occasions, stayed at Paul's for Jackies birthday helped Colin cart wood. The weather has been pretty good so one day we joined Paul and Jackie metal detecting at Marion Bay, we found a few 5 cent pieces nothing exciting,  Paul found a ring. Next day we took the detector down along the penguin beach Merv found $2. Paul wanted a hand with a tree he was cutting down the following day at Marion Bay, we met him there approximately 11 o'clock he had already cut the tree down and it had fallen into the blackberry so we had to tow it out and up the paddock, the truck didn't even notice it. When all that was done we went detecting again, Merv found a 50 cent and a 10 cent along with some 5s, I only found 5 cent pieces. After we left the paddock we decided to have a look at the beach and lagoon, there are toilets and a car park sinceI was las there. When we got onto the beach Merv wanted to walk to the other end of the beach to the narrows where the boats go out, it was a big walk after detecting all day,  Was glad of a glass of bubbles and dinner. ...
